Build Africa facilitates the purchase of building materials directly from manufacturers and suppliers. The delivery of goods shall be subject to the terms set out in this Shipping Policy and any additional terms communicated at the point of purchase.
Delivery charges may either be included in the purchase price of certain products or charged separately, depending on the nature of the order. The applicable delivery arrangement and any associated charges shall be disclosed to the customer before the order is confirmed.
Where a product is advertised as including delivery, no separate delivery charge shall apply. The cost of delivery shall be deemed incorporated into the purchase price of the product as displayed on the platform.
Where delivery charges are not included in the product price, such charges shall be disclosed separately before payment is completed. The applicable delivery fee, delivery coverage area, and estimated delivery timeline shall be communicated to the customer prior to order confirmation.
Where Build Africa expressly agrees to bear the cost of delivery, Build Africa shall retain responsibility for the goods during transit until delivery is completed. In such circumstances, any loss, damage, or shortage occurring during transit shall be investigated and resolved by Build Africa in accordance with its applicable policies and procedures.
A customer may select to arrange collection and delivery of goods through a third-party logistics provider or by using the customer's own transportation arrangements. Where a customer selects to do so:
Build Africa shall be responsible for all handling and access-related charges required for the delivery of goods, including, but not limited to, gate fees, site access fees, and local community levies (commonly referred to as "omo onile" fees).
Where any such charges are to be borne by the customer, Build Africa shall notify the customer in advance, and the customer shall be required to settle such charges as a condition of delivery.
Every order confirmation will clearly state who is responsible for delivery costs and how the materials will be moved.
